AI Fluency Assessment

Hire people who use AI. Meticulously.

Most hiring tests ban AI. This one gives candidates an AI assistant and a real piece of work, then shows you who checks what the assistant says and who just accepts it.

How it works

Real work starts with an inbox, not a blank page.

Candidates don’t write something from scratch. They step into a job already in progress, with the documents that come with it, and an AI assistant to help. How they use it is what you’re hiring for.

  1. 1

A real task, already in progress

Two short tasks, 12 minutes each, like an offer letter or a reply to a customer. Each comes with the documents a person would have: emails, a template, a record, a team chat.

  2. 2

An assistant that only knows what it’s told

The assistant sits beside the task but can’t see the documents. Candidates quote what it needs or type it in, with up to 5 messages per task.

  3. 3

One detail that doesn’t add up

One fact in the documents is out of date or wrong. The correct version sits in a document that can’t be copied into the chat, so the only way to catch it is to read it and tell the assistant. We call this the verification check.

  4. 4

A report on how they worked

You see whether they caught the check, and how well they briefed the assistant, checked its answers and kept the decisions that were theirs to make.

Try it

It sees what you quote. The rest, you have to read.

This is the task from the film. Priya, a hiring manager, wants an offer letter out to Karan today. Read the tabs the way a candidate would: select a line in the email and quote it, then try the candidate record. Can you spot the detail that doesn’t add up?

Offer letter

Assistant

The assistant can't see your tabs. Quote or type whatever it needs.

Select text in any tab to quote it. Paste is off, and some documents, like the candidate record, can’t be quoted at all.

The question

Two candidates. Same task. Same AI.

Two candidates did this task with the same assistant, and both were done in about five minutes. Which letter would you send?

Candidate A

The runs

Candidate A was fast. Candidate B read first.

Candidate A quoted the email and the template, asked for the letter, and submitted in four minutes. Candidate B read the record, told the assistant the salary wasn’t approved yet, and still finished in five. Press the time next to any message to play that moment in the film.

The documents disagree

Comp is 4.2 LPA, that is settled.

Without AI

Careful. Accurate. Out of time.

Every attempt pairs a task that needs judgment with one that is mostly volume. Here, ten job applications to check against the hiring manager’s must-haves. Candidate C skipped the assistant, got every row right, and ran out of time on row five. Candidate B let the assistant do the typing and finished with five minutes to spare.

Tasks are written for real roles, from sales to data analysis, and set at made-up companies. Each one hides an out-of-date or wrong fact that only careful reading catches. Every task comes in several versions, so a tip from a friend doesn’t carry over.
