Why a completed voice interview may still show In Progress
Sometimes a candidate has already finished their voice interview, but the dashboard still shows In Progress. In most cases, the interview is complete and the evaluation is still catching up.
If a candidate has completed their voice interview but you still see In Progress, this usually does not mean the candidate abandoned the interview or that you need to re-invite them immediately.
In most cases, this means:
- the candidate finished the interview successfully
- the recording/completion data was saved
- the evaluation or scoring step is still processing
- the dashboard has not updated to the final evaluated state yet
What this means
A temporary In Progress status after completion is usually a processing delay, not a candidate-side failure.
So before taking action, give the system a little time to finish evaluation.
What you should do
- Wait a few minutes.
- Refresh the page.
- Check whether the status has updated.
- Avoid re-inviting the candidate unless you are sure the interview was not completed.
When you should contact support
Please contact support if:
- the interview still shows In Progress after a reasonable wait
- you can confirm the candidate completed the interview
- you want us to verify whether scoring is stuck
When contacting support, please include:
- candidate name
- role/job title
- organization name
- approximate interview completion time
Best practice
Do not re-invite the candidate immediately after seeing In Progress. Re-inviting too early can confuse the candidate and create duplicate interview attempts.

How candidate invites and reminders work in Goodfit
Goodfit can contact candidates through email, WhatsApp, or phone workflows depending on your setup. If a reminder is missing or a candidate was contacted unexpectedly, this guide explains the most common reasons.
