Using the Goodfit for Recruiters browser extension

The Goodfit for Recruiters extension connects your Goodfit account with the job boards you already use, so your jobs and candidates move between them without copy-pasting. It works on Google Chrome as of now.

Everything the extension does is started by you and only affects your own Goodfit organization's data. It talks solely to your Goodfit account — no ads, no browsing tracking, and no data sold.

What you can do

• Post a job — pre-fill a job board's "post a job" form from a job in Goodfit.
• Import candidates — bring applicants from a job board into a Goodfit job.
• Import jobs — pull your existing job posts from a board into Goodfit as drafts.
• Add from a LinkedIn profile — check whether someone is already in Goodfit and add them to a job.

Before you start

• You need a Goodfit account. If you don't have one yet, visit goodfit.so.
• Install the extension from the Chrome web store and pin it to the toolbar.
• Be signed in to the job board (LinkedIn, Indeed, Wellfound, etc.) in the same browser.

Connect your Goodfit account

1. Click the Goodfit icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Click Connect Goodfit and sign in when the Goodfit login window opens.
3. Once connected, the popup lists your organizations and jobs. One sign-in works across every supported board.

Post a job from Goodfit to a job board

1. Open the Goodfit extension popup and choose the target board (for example LinkedIn, Indeed, or Wellfound).
2. Find the job you want to post and click Post to.... The board's "post a job" page opens.
3. The form is pre-filled from your Goodfit job — title, location, pay, description, and more.
4. Review each step, fill in anything the board asks for that Goodfit doesn't store, and submit it yourself.

Note: the extension never submits, sponsors, or pays for a post on your behalf. You stay in full control of publishing and budget.

Import candidates from a job board into Goodfit

1. Open the board's applicants page for a job (currently supported on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Wellfound).
2. Click Import applications to Goodfit. A side panel opens.
3. Pick the Goodfit organization and the job to import into. Only active Goodfit jobs are listed.
4. Choose a batch size, then click Scan & import. Resumes are processed in the background.
5. Optionally tick "Invite candidates (send Goodfit assessment) instead of adding as prospects" to send the assessment invite as you import, rather than adding candidates silently.

Rejected applicants are never imported. Imported candidates are tagged with the board they came from, so you can always see the source in Goodfit.

Import existing job posts into Goodfit

1. Open the board's jobs list (your posted jobs).
2. Click Import jobs to Goodfit.
3. Use the search box to filter a long list, tick the jobs you want, pick the organization, and click Import.
4. Jobs are created in Goodfit as drafts so you can review before activating. Already-imported jobs are skipped.

Add someone from a LinkedIn profile

1. Open a person's LinkedIn profile.
2. The extension shows whether they're already a candidate in your account.
3. Add them to a job as a prospect, or send them a Goodfit assessment invite.

Good to know

• Only active jobs appear in the import dropdown. Paused, closed, or draft jobs are hidden.
• Duplicate protection — badges show who's already in Goodfit, so you don't re-import or re-contact the same person.
• Candidates without a resume still import. On LinkedIn, the candidate's email is read from their application, so they're added even if they didn't attach a resume.

Troubleshooting

The panel says "reload / refresh to continue," or buttons don't respond
This happens right after the extension updates. Refresh the job-board tab to reconnect, then try again.

I don't see my job in the dropdown
Only active jobs are listed. Make sure the job is active in Goodfit and that you've selected the right organization.

Some resumes didn't attach on LinkedIn
LinkedIn scans each resume for viruses the first time it's opened, and occasionally the scan doesn't finish in time — so the candidate imports but the resume is left off. LinkedIn caches the file once the scan completes, so simply running the import on that job again usually attaches the remaining resumes on the second pass. Candidates who didn't attach a resume at all will import without one.

Nothing happens when I click "Post to..."
Make sure you're signed in to that job board in the same browser, and that you're connected to Goodfit (open the popup to check). If the board's form has changed, refresh the page and try again.

Privacy

The extension only communicates with your Goodfit account and the job board you're actively using. It doesn't track your browsing, show ads, or sell data. Every action is triggered by you.
